About Us
Our story
We are Andrea and Kate
The topics of nature, health, design, sustainability and natural cosmetics have long been important to us. For us, true beauty is based on inner and outer balance.
We searched for a long time in vain for a natural and effective deodorant, until we finally took matters into our own hands. And so, about 10 years ago, we started producing our own deodorant: natural, organic and without aluminum salts. A deodorant that is highly effective and meets our high standards of holistic health and aesthetics. What began as a private business grew bigger and bigger and we eventually professionalized production. And so Såpe was born.
Today our deodorant is certified as natural cosmetic by Natrue. With over 97% organic ingredients, we can call our deodorants "organic cosmetics", which is the highest certification from Natrue.
Purity, freshness, clarity: Swiss quality is our top priority. That's why all ingredients are sourced from Switzerland whenever possible.
After all, we feel best when what we do not only benefits us, but also the environment. It's great that you can be a part of it with us.

Our name
Why Såpe?
We are often asked what Såpe means and why we are called that.
Såpe means "soap" in Norwegian. Soap has a long history. Around 4,500 years ago, the Sumerians in what is now Iraq immortalized the first recipe for a precursor to soap on a clay tablet.
Thus soap, as the origin of all cosmetics, gave us our name Såpe.
Like Switzerland, Norway is a country of glaciers, mountains and forests. For us, it reflects clarity, freshness, quality, aesthetics and timeless design. That suits our products.
By the way, our name is pronounced "SOPE".
